Psychologist, M.Sc.

Who you’d be working with.

I work one-to-one with people who keep performing under demand and want recovery to become reliable again. We begin with breathing, then move on to habits and boundaries where that is useful.

Working style

What a session is like.

You can think aloud, pause and bring things you have not yet found words for. I listen closely to what is happening in your life before offering a perspective.

Years in sport have shaped my straightforward, down-to-earth way of working with people. Our conversations leave room for uncertainty, difficult weeks and humor. Together, we work out what is realistic and worth trying next, and the following session begins with how it actually went.

Background

Where this comes from.

Qualification
M.Sc. Psychology, awarded cum laude, with a focus on health psychology.
Competitive sport
Close to two decades in competitive wrestling, including the state team and the German Bundesliga.
Academia and business
Studied in Germany, the Netherlands and Singapore; research and teaching posts at German and Dutch universities alongside those studies; later, leadership development inside a large company.
Before psychology
An apprenticeship as a precision machinist, years of manual work, and two years of military service.

This work did not come from theory alone. I know the pull toward the next goal, including the point where recovery stops being optional. I also know what it is to do that somewhere that isn’t home, in a language that isn’t your first. That shapes how I listen, not what I promise.

This is structured psychological consulting: one-to-one sessions, agreed practices, honest review. It is not psychotherapy, medical treatment, diagnosis or crisis support. If something is urgent, contact emergency services or a doctor where you are. If you’re unsure what that looks like in the country you’re in, say so when you apply.

The work is for adults who are still meeting the demands of everyday and professional life, and who want structured support in restoring capacity and self-regulation. If psychotherapy, medical care or crisis support is needed, this is not the right setting for it.
