The Program

Structured psychological consulting for people working internationally: recovery first, then what keeps it in place.

Human Again.

One path. You decide where it ends.

  1. Restore Capacity

    5 weeks · €1,600

Where everyone starts. Restoring physiological recovery — how your stress response settles, how you sleep, how you concentrate. Worked through individualized respiratory training, with weekly review of what changes in daily life.

  2. Build Alignment

    8 weeks · €2,400

Only after Restore Capacity. Reshaping what keeps getting in the way of recovery — routines, boundaries, how your working day is structured, how your evenings actually go. Usually one or two patterns at a time, worked through deeply enough to hold.

  3. Thrive

    ongoing · from €400 a month

Optional, once the first thirteen weeks are done. An ongoing consulting partnership to maintain what helps and explore what you want to build next.

You decide at week five whether to continue into Build Alignment, and again at week thirteen whether to continue with Thrive. Build Alignment isn’t available on its own, because the behavioral work holds better once recovery is already underway.

Organizations — pricing on request. For engagements funded by an employer or sponsor, including from a relocation or assignment budget. The sessions and scope remain the same, and funding does not give the organization access to what you discuss in sessions.

Restore Capacity

Five weeks, three connected dimensions.

Assessment
Self-assessment and guided observation in the initial session, after week five and again after your follow-up. We agree on your priority in the first session.
Sessions
One 90-minute initial session, then four 60-minute sessions, about one a week.
Delivery
Online, one-to-one with a psychologist (M.Sc.), in English or German. Scheduled around your time zone, and unaffected if you relocate.
Platform
A private platform for your agreed plan, materials and messages during the program. Access continues for 90 days after the program ends, so you can revisit what we worked on. Selected materials can be downloaded and kept.
Follow-up
One 30-minute follow-up four weeks after your final session, to review what is working in daily life and discuss any adjustments.

The aim is for supportive breathing habits to become more automatic in everyday life, with a written plan we agree together.

Your five weeks

Select a week to explore the session.

Week 1Your demands, assessment and light breathing

Week 1

Biochemical dimension

We explore the demands you are carrying, your self-assessment and your current breathing patterns. We begin with light breathing and agree on at least one practice and a specific point in your day where you will use it.

Week 2Refining light breathing

Week 2

Biochemical dimension

We review what was workable, refine the light-breathing practice and adjust it to what your week can realistically hold.

Week 3Breathing mechanics and your toolkit

Week 3

Biomechanical dimension

We focus on breathing mechanics and introduce practice for this dimension. We also begin developing your toolkit for situations you find demanding.

Week 4Situations that recur in everyday life

Week 4

Biomechanical dimension

We review and refine the practice, developing the toolkit around situations that recur in your everyday life.

Week 5Slow breathing and your continued plan

Week 5

Psychophysiological dimension

We focus on slow breathing, bring the three dimensions together and agree on a plan for continued practice, including how to adapt it during demanding periods.

Between sessions

You leave each session with a manageable plan for your actual week: what to practice, when and how.

Your private platform keeps the guidance available, with brief reflection prompts to notice what helps and what gets in the way. You can ask questions through chat between sessions. At our next meeting, we review what actually happened and adjust the plan together.

Build Alignment

Eight weeks, one or two agreed priorities.

Build Alignment is shaped around what gets in the way of recovery in your everyday life. Usually that’s whatever made you good at the work. We begin with a 90-minute session to understand your routines, demands and circumstances, and where they leave too little room for your body’s needs. Together, we agree on one or two priorities.

Available after Restore Capacity.

Delivery
Online, one-to-one with a psychologist (M.Sc.), in English or German. Scheduled around your time zone, and unaffected if you relocate.
Between sessions
Reflection prompts, psychoeducation, action and implementation planning, with check-ins between sessions.

What your priorities might look like

  • How the day is structured
  • Conditions for focused work
  • Time spent sitting
  • Movement
  • How evenings affect sleep
  • Travel and time zones
  • Caffeine
  • Eating routines
  • Time with family and friends

These are starting points, not a fixed menu. Together, we choose what matters most, try practical changes and review what works in your everyday life.

Session outlineShow detailsHide details

We look at the thinking, behaviors and structures of work and everyday life — and whether they support recovery, rhythm and regulation or repeatedly interfere with them.

Usually one or two patterns at a time, such as work rhythm, boundaries or recovery practices, worked through deeply enough to become sustainable rather than changing everything at once.

Thrive

Ongoing, if you want it

Thrive offers an ongoing partnership to maintain what helps and explore what you want to build next, as your life and work evolve.

Available after Build Alignment.

Discussed together once our work is underway.

Your focus in Restore Capacity

In the first session, we use your self-assessment and what we observe together to agree on a main priority for the program.

For one person, that is more restorative sleep. For another, it is steadier emotional responses. For another, it is being able to put work down in the evening.

We use that priority to guide our reviews, while staying responsive to what emerges along the way.

Practical questions

Is this for me if I’m still performing but struggling to recover?Show detailsHide details

This work is designed for adults who are still meeting their professional and everyday responsibilities but are finding recovery harder. Mental clarity may feel less reliable, and there may be less energy left for the people in their lives.

We begin with Restore Capacity, which combines individual psychophysiological respiratory training with guided practice and regular review. This can be followed by Build Alignment, where the focus is on practical work on habits, boundaries and everyday choices to support recovery and, in turn, mental and physical well-being.

In the complimentary call, we consider together whether this approach fits your situation. The work is psychological consulting, not psychotherapy or medical treatment.

Breathing exercises sound like wellness. Why start there?Show detailsHide details

Breathing responds to stress, but it can also influence how activated you feel. We work on your everyday breathing patterns through individualized retraining, alongside specific practices for demanding moments. This gives us a practical starting point for supporting recovery, with regular practice and review.

Over five weeks, we work on your everyday breathing patterns and a toolkit for demanding situations. The practice is adapted to your assessment and reviewed against what you notice in daily life. We start here to make work on recovery manageable. It still takes regular practice.

Can my employer fund the work?Show detailsHide details

Yes. Your employer or organization can fund the program, and funding does not give them access to the content of our sessions. If you moved for the role, it is worth asking about relocation or assignment-support budgets as well as training ones — people often treat this as a personal expense when it does not have to be. We agree the necessary administrative arrangements before the work begins.

How does payment work?Show detailsHide details

Organizations receive an invoice payable within 30 days. If you are paying yourself, the program is paid before it begins — and if installments would make a difference, mention it in your application and we can discuss it.

What changes can I realistically expect?Show detailsHide details

We agree what meaningful progress would look like for you and review it throughout the program. Outcomes and the pace of change may vary between people.

If this sounds like the right fit, apply.

Tell me briefly what brings you here. I read each application personally and usually reply within two business days.

This is structured psychological consulting: one-to-one sessions, agreed practices, honest review. It is not psychotherapy, medical treatment, diagnosis or crisis support. If something is urgent, contact emergency services or a doctor where you are. If you’re unsure what that looks like in the country you’re in, say so when you apply.

Show detailsHide details

The work is for adults who are still meeting the demands of everyday and professional life, and who want structured support in restoring capacity and self-regulation. If psychotherapy, medical care or crisis support is needed, this is not the right setting for it.
